Which Oil Should You Choose?


Most common vegetable oils are low in saturated fat. The Canadian government considers an oil low
in saturated fat if its level of saturated fat is below 15%. The chart below summarizes the fat composition
of the more common oil types.

Conclusion: All of these vegetable oils except palm and coconut oil are low in saturated fat and if used
in moderation would be considered "preferred" oils.
