Health Considerations

Fats are the most concentrated source of energy (calories) you consume and are an important part of your daily
diet because they provide essential fatty acids which your body cannot manufacture. It is recommended that
fat represent no more than 30% of your daily caloric intake.

The type of fat you consume is important because it affects your cholesterol level. While you cannot control
the amount of cholesterol your body produces you can control the amount of cholesterol in your diet. The oils
you choose are one way to accomplish this.
